2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words. Jesus of Nazareth, a man proved of God in you by virtues, and wonders, and tokens, which God did by him in the middle of you, as ye know, Ye men of Israhel, hear these words. Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you with miracles and wonders, and signs which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves know: Ye men of Israel, hear these words, JESUS of Nazaret, a man approved of God among you with great works, and wonders, and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Ye men of Israel, hear these words, Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you, by miracles, wonders, and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
2:23 him, the counsel determined, and by the prescience of God, betaken by the hands of wicked ye tormenting slew. him have ye taken by the hands of unrightwise persons, after he was delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, and have crucified and slain him, Him, I say, have ye taken by the hands of the wicked, being delivered by the determinate counsel, & foreknowledge of God, and have crucified and slain: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands, have crucified, and slain:
2:24 Whom God raised, when sorrows of hell were unbound, after that it was impossible him to be holden of it. whom god hath raised up and loosed the sorrows of death, because it was unpossible that he should be holden of it. Whom God hath raised up, & loosed the sorrows of death, because it was unpossible that he should be holden of it. Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
2:25 For David saith of him, I saw afar the Lord before me evermore, for he is on my right half, that I be not moved. David speaketh of him: Aforehand, saw I God always before me: For he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved. For David saith concerning him, I beheld the Lord always before me: for he is at my right hand, that l should not be shaken. For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved.
2:26 For this thing mine heart joyed, and my tongue gladded, and moreover my flesh shall rest in hope. Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad. Moreover also, my flesh shall rest in hope Therefore did mine heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad, and moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope, Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad: Moreover also, my flesh shall rest in hope,
2:27 For thou shalt not leave my soul in hell, neither thou shalt give thine holy to see corruption. because thou shalt not leave my soul in hell, neither shalt suffer thy saint to see corruption. Because thou wilt not leave my soul in grave, neither wilt suffer thine holy one to see corruption. Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy one to see corruption.
2:28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life, thou shalt full-fill me with mirth with thy face. Thou hast shewed me the ways of life, Thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. Thou hast shewed me the ways of life, and shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. Thou hast made known to me the ways of life, thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
2:29 Men brethren, be it leaveful boldly to say to you of the patriarch David, for he is dead and buried, and his sepulchre is among us into this day. Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David: For he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre remaineth with us unto this day. Men & brethren, I may boldly speak unto you of the Patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre remaineth with us unto this day. Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the Patriarch David, that he is both dead & buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day:
2:30 Therefore when he was a prophet, and knew, that with an oath God had sworn to him, that of the fruit of his loins should one sit on his seat, Therefore since he was a prophet, and knew that God had sworn with an oath to him, that the fruit of his loins should sit on his seat: Therefore, seeing he was a Prophet, and knew that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins he would raise up Christ concerning the flesh to set him upon his throne, Therefore being a Prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ, to sit on his throne:
2:31 he seeing afar spake of the resurrection of Christ, for neither he was left in hell, neither his flesh saw corruption. He saw before, and spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul should not be left in hell: neither his flesh should see corruption. He knowing this before, spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul should not be left in grave, neither his flesh should see corruption. He seeing this before, spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
2:32 God raised this Jesus, to whom we all be witnesses. This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
2:33 Therefore he enhanced by the right hand of God, and by the promise of the Holy Ghost taken of the Father, he shedded out this, that ye see and hear. Since now that he by the right hand of god exalted is, and hath received of the father the promise of the holy ghost, he hath shed forth that which ye now see and hear. Since then that he by the right hand of God hath been exalted, and hath received of his Father the promise of the holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this which ye now see and hear. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
2:34 For David ascended not into heaven; but he saith, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right half, For David is not ascended into heaven, but he said: The lord said to my lord sit on my right hand, For David is not ascended into heaven, but he saith, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, For David is not ascended into the heavens, but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
2:35 till I put thine enemies the stool of thy feet. until I make thy foes, thy footstool. Until I make thine enemies thy footstool. Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
2:36 Therefore most certainly know all the house of Israel, that God made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus, whom ye crucified. So therefore let all the house of Israhel know for a surety, that God hath made the same Jesus whom ye have crucified, Lord and Christ. Therefore, let all the house of Israel know for a surety, that God hath made him both Lord, and Christ, this Jesus, I say, whom ye have crucified. Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
2:37 When they heard these things, they were compuncted in heart; and they said to Peter and to other apostles, Men brethren, what shall we do? When they heard this, they were pricked in their hearts, and said unto Peter, and unto the other apostles: Ye men and brethren, what shall we do? Now when they heard it, they were pricked in their hearts, and said unto Peter & the other Apostles, Men &brethren, what shall we do? Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter, and to the rest of the Apostles, Men and brethren, What shall we do?
2:38 And Peter said to them, Penance, he said, do ye, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, into remission of your sins; and ye shall take the gift of the Holy Ghost. Peter said unto them: Repent and be baptised every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, For the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the holy ghost. Then Peter said unto them, Amend your lives, and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins: & ye shall receive the gift of the holy Ghost. Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the holy Ghost.
2:39 Forsooth repromission is to you, and to your sons, and to all that be far, whomever the Lord our God hath called to. For the promise was made unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar, even as many as our lord God shall call. For the promise is made unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
2:40 Also with other words full many he witnessed to them, and admonished them, saying, Be ye saved from this wicked generation. And with many other words he besought, & exhorted them, saying, Save yourselves from this froward generation. And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
2:41 Then they that received his word were baptized, and in that day souls were increased, about three thousand; They that gladly received his preaching were baptised, And the same day, there were added unto them about a three thousand souls. Then they that gladly received his word, were baptized: and the same day, there were added to the Church about three thousand souls. Then they that gladly received his word, were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
2:42 and they were lasting stably in the teaching of the apostles, and communing of breaking of bread, and in prayers. And they continued in the Apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayer. And they continued in the Apostles’ doctrine, and fellowship, and breaking of bread, and prayers. And they continued stedfastly in the Apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
2:43 Forsooth dread was made to each soul. And many wonders and signs were done by the apostles in Jerusalem, and great dread was in all. And fear came over every soul. And many wonders and signs were shewed by the apostles. And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the Apostles. And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the Apostles.
2:44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common. All that believed gathered then together, and had all things common. And all that believed, were in one place, and had all things common. And all that believed were together, and had all things common,
2:45 They sold possessions and substances, and parted those things to all men, as it was need to each. And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. And they sold their possessions & goods and parted them to all men, as every one had need. And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
2:46 Forsooth day by day they lasting together in the temple, and breaking bread about houses, took meat with gladness and simpleness of heart, And they continued daily with one accord in the temple, and brake bread in every house, and ate their meat together with gladness, and singleness of heart And they continued daily with one accord in the Temple, & breaking bread at home, did eat their meat together with gladness and singleness of heart, And they continuing daily with one accord in the Temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
2:47 praising together God, and having grace to all the people. And the Lord increased them that were made safe, each day into the same thing. praising god, and had favour with all people, and the lord added to the congregation daily them that should be saved. Praising God, and had favour with all the people: and the Lord added to the Church from day to day, such as should be saved. Praising God, and having favour with all the people.
