9:2 and asked of him letters into Damascus, to the synagogues; that if he found any men or women of this life, he should lead them bound to Jerusalem. and desired of him letters to damascon, to the synagogues: that if he found any of this way whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. The lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest, it shall be hard for thee to kick against the prick. And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against pricks. And he said, Who art thou Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: It is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
9:6 And he trembling and wondering, said, Lord, what wilt thou me to do? And the Lord said to him, Rise up, and enter into the city, and it shall be said to thee, what it behooveth thee to do. He both trembling and astonied said: Lord what wilt thou have me to do? And the lord said unto him: Arise and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou shalt do. He then both trembling and astonied, said, Lord, what wilt thou that I do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou shalt do. And he trembling and astonished, said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
9:7 Forsooth those men that went with him, stood made afeared; soothly hearing a voice, forsooth seeing no man. The men which accompanied him on his way stood amazed, for they heard a voice, but saw no man. The men also which journeyed with him, stood amazed, hearing his voice, but seeing no man. And the men which journeyed with him, stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.
9:8 And Saul rose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw nothing. And they drew him by the hands, and led him into Damascus. Saul arose from the earth, And when he had opened his eyes he saw no man. Then led they him by the hand, and brought him into damascon. And Saul arose from the ground, and opened his eyes, but saw no man. 9:10 Forsooth some disciple was at Damascus, by name Ananias. And the Lord said to him in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Lo! I, Lord. And there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias, & to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. 9:11 And the Lord said to him, Rise thou, and go into a street that is called Rectus; and seek, in the house of Judas, Saul by name, of Tarsus. For lo! he prayeth; And the lord said unto him: arise and go into the street which is called straight, and seek in the house of Judas after one called Saul of the city of Tharsus. For behold he prayeth, Then the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and seek in the house of Judas after one called Saul of Tarsus: for behold, he prayeth. 9:12 and he saw a man, Ananias by name, entering and putting to him hands, that he receive sight. And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in unto him, And putting his hands on him, that he might receive his sight. (And he saw in a vision a man named Ananias coming in to him, & putting his hands on him, that he might receive his sight.) 9:13 And Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard of many of this man, how great evil he did to thy saints in Jerusalem; Ananias answered: Lord I have heard by many of this man, how much hurt he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem, Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem. 9:14 and this hath power of the princes of priests, to bind all men that call thy name to help. and in this place he hath authority of the high priests to bind all that call on thy name. Moreover here he hath authority of the high Priests, to bind all that call on thy Name. And here he hath authority from the chief Priests, to bind all that call on thy Name.
9:15 And the Lord said to him, Go thou, for this is to me a vessel of choosing, that he bear my name before heathen men, and kings, and the sons of Israel. The lord said unto him: Go thy ways: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the gentiles, and kings, and the children of israhel. Then the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my Name before the Gentiles, & Kings, and the children of Israel. But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my Name before the Gentiles, and Kings, and the children of Israel.
9:16 For I shall shew to him, how great things it behooveth him to suffer for my name. For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake. 9:17 And Ananias went, and entered into the house; and he putting to him the hands, said, Saul brother, the Lord Jesus sent me, that appeared to thee in the way, in which thou camest, that thou see, and be full-filled with the Holy Ghost. 9:18 And anon there felled from his eyes as scales, and he received sight. And he rose, and was baptized. And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales and he received his sight, and arose and was baptised. 9:19 And when he had taken meat, he was comforted. And he was by some days with the disciples, that were at Damascus. And received meat and was comforted. 9:21 And all men that heard him, wondered, and said, Whether this is not he that impugned in Jerusalem them that called to help this name? and hither for this thing he came, that he should lead them bound to the princes of priests? All that heard him were amazed and said: is not this he that spoiled them which called on this name in Jerusalem? And came hither for the intent that he should bring them bound unto the high priests? So that all that heard him, were amazed, and said, Is not this he, that destroyed them which called on this Name in Jerusalem, & came hither for that intent, that he should bring them bound unto the high Priests? But all that heard him, were amazed, and said, Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this Name in Hierusalem, and came hither for that intent that he might bring them bound unto the chief Priests?
9:22 But Saul much the more waxed strong, and confounded the Jews that dwelled at Damascus, affirming for this is Christ. Saul increased in strength, And confounded the jews which dwelt at damascon affirming that this was very Christ. 9:32 Forsooth it was made, that Peter, while he passed by all, came to the holy men that dwelled at Lydda. 9:36 Forsooth in Joppa was some discipless, by name Tabitha, which interpreted, is said Dorcas. This was full of good works and almsdeeds, that she did. 9:40 And when all men were put withoutforth, Peter kneeled, and prayed. And he turned to the body, and said, Tabitha, rise up. And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up. 9:41 Forsooth he gave to her the hand, and raised her. And when he had called the holy men and widows, he assigned her alive.
