20:1 Forsooth in one day of the sabbath, Mary Magdalene came early, when darknesses were yet, at the grave. And she saw the stone moved away from the grave. The morrow after the sabbath day came Mary magdalene early when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and saw the stone rolled away from the tomb. Now the first day of the week came Marie Magdalene, early when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and saw the stone taken away from the tomb. The first day of the week, cometh Mary Magdalene early when it was yet dark, unto the Sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the Sepulchre.
20:2 Therefore she ran, and came to Simon Peter, and to another disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith to them, They have taken the Lord from the grave, and we know not, where they have laid him. Then she ran, and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said unto them: They have taken away the lord out of the tomb and we cannot tell where they have laid him. Then she ran, and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him. Then she runneth and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the Sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.
20:3 Therefore Peter went out, and that other disciple, and they came to the grave. Peter went forth and that other disciple, and came unto the sepulchre. Peter therefore went forth, & the other disciple, & they came unto the sepulchre. Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the Sepulchre.
20:4 Forsooth they two ran together, and that other disciple ran before Peter, and came first to the grave. They ran both together, and that other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. So they ran both together, but the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. So they ran both together, and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the Sepulchre.
20:5 And when he stooped, he saw the sheets lying, nevertheless he entered not in. And he stooped down and saw the linen clothes, yet went he not in. And he stooped down, and saw the linen clothes lying: yet went he not in. And he stooping down and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying, yet went he not in.
20:6 Therefore Simon Peter came following him, and he entered into the grave, and he saw the sheets laid, Then came Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and saw the linen clothes lie, Then came Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and saw the linen clothes lie, Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the Sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,
20:7 and the sudarium that was on his head, not laid with the sheets, but by itself wrapped into a place. and the napkin that was about his head not lying with the linen cloth, but wrapped together in a place by itself. And the kerchief that was upon his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself. And the napkin that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.
20:8 Therefore and that disciple that came first to the grave, entered, and saw, and believed. Then went in also that other disciple which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw and believed. Then went in also the other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw it, and believed. Then went in also that other disciple which came first to the Sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.
20:9 Forsooth they knew not yet the scripture, for it behooved him to rise again from dead. For as yet they knew not the scriptures, that he should rise again from death. For as yet they knew not the Scripture, That he must rise again from the dead. For as yet they knew not the Scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.
20:10 Therefore the disciples went again to themselves. And the disciples went away again unto their own home. And the disciples went away again unto their own home. Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.
20:11 But Mary stood at the grave withoutforth weeping. And while she wept, she bowed her, and beheld forth into the grave. Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: As she wept, she bowed herself into the sepulchre But Marie stood without at the sepulchre weeping: & as she wept, she bowed herself into the sepulchre, But Mary stood without at the sepulchre, weeping: & as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the Sepulchre,
20:12 And she saw two angels sitting in white, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus was laid. and saw two angels clothed in white sitting the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where they had laid the body of Jesus. And saw two Angels in white, sitting, the one at the head, & the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. And seeth two Angels in white, sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain:
20:13 And they say to her, Woman, what weepest thou? She said to them, For they have taken away my Lord, and I know not, where they have laid him. They said unto her: woman why weepest thou? She said unto them: They have taken away my lord, and I wot not where they have laid him. And they said unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She said unto them, They have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him. And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.
20:14 When she had said these things, she turned aback, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus. When she had thus said, she turned herself back and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus. When she had thus said, she turned herself back and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus. And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.
20:15 Jesus saith to her, Woman, what weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She guessing that he was the gardener, saith to him, Sire, if thou hast taken him up, say to me, where thou hast laid him, and I shall take him away. Jesus said unto her: woman why weepest thou? Whom seekest thou? She supposing that he had been the gardener, said unto him: Sir if thou have borne him hence tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She supposing that he had been the gardener, said unto him, Sir, if thou hast borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
20:16 Jesus saith to her, Mary. She turned, and saith to him, Rabboni, that is to say, Master. Jesus said unto her: Mary. She turned herself, and said unto him: Raboni which is to say master. Jesus saith unto her, Marie. She turned herself, & said unto him, Rabboni, which is to say, Master. Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni, which is to say, Master.
20:17 Jesus saith to her, Do not thou touch me, for I have not yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brethren, and say to them, I ascend to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. Jesus said unto her: touch me not, for I have not yet ascended to my father. But go to my brethren and say unto them, I ascend unto my father, and your father: my God, and your God. Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not: for I am not yet ascended to my Father, but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, & to your Father, and to my God, and your God. Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not: for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father, and to my God, and your God.
20:18 Mary Magdalene came, telling to the disciples, That I saw the Lord, and these things he said to me. Mary magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the lord, and that he had spoken such things unto her. Marie Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her. Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.
20:19 Therefore when eventide was in that day, in one of the sabbaths, and the gates were shut, where the disciples were gathered, for dread of the Jews, Jesus came, and stood in the middle of the disciples, and said to them, Peace be to you. The same day at night, which was the morrow after the sabbath day, when the doors were shut (where the disciples were assembled together for fear of the jews) came Jesus and stood in the midst, and said to them: peace be with you. The same day then at night, which was the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, & said to them, Peace be unto you. Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut, where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus, and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
20:20 And when he had said this, he shewed to them his hands and side; therefore the disciples joyed, for the Lord was seen. And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his feet, and his side. Then were the disciples glad when they saw the lord. And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands, and his side. Then were the disciples glad when they had seen the Lord. And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
20:21 Therefore he said to them again, Peace to you; as the Father hath sent me, and I send you. He said unto them again: peace be with you. As my father sent me, even so send I you. Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father sent me, so send I you. Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: As my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
20:22 When he had said this, he blew on them, and said, Take ye the Holy Ghost; When he had said that, he blew on them, and said unto them: Receive the holy ghost: And when he had said that, he breathed on them, and said unto them, Receive the holy Ghost. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the holy Ghost.
20:23 whose sins ye forgive, they be forgiven; and whose sins ye withhold, they be withholden. whosoever’s sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them: And whosoever’s sins ye retain, they are retained. Whosoever’s sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them: & whosoever’s sins ye retain, they are retained. Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them, and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
20:24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, that is said Didymus, was not with them, when Jesus came. Thomas one of the twelve, called didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. But Thomas one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. But Thomas one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
20:25 Therefore the other disciples said, We have seen the Lord. Forsooth he said to them, No but I shall see in his hands the fixing of nails, and shall send my finger into the places of the nails, and shall send mine hand into his side, I shall not believe. The other disciples said unto him: we have seen the lord. And he said unto them: except I see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger in the holes of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord: but he said unto them, Except I see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put mine hand into his side, I will not believe it. The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
20:26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the gates shut, and stood in the middle, and said, Peace to you. And after eight days again, his disciples were within, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came when the doors were shut, and stood in the midst and said: peace be with you: And eight days after again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them. Then came Jesus, when the doors were shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. And after eight days, again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: Then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
20:27 Afterward he saith to Thomas, Bring in hither thy finger, and see mine hands, and bring to thine hand, and send it into my side, and do not thou be unbelieveful, but faithful. Then said he to Thomas: put in thy finger here, and see my hands, and put forth thy hand and thrust him into my side, and be not without faith: but believe. After, said he to Thomas, Put thy finger here, and see mine hands, and put forth thine hand, and put it into my side, and be not faithless, but faithful. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands, and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side, and be not faithless, but believing.
20:28 Thomas answered, and said to him, My Lord and my God. Thomas answered and said unto him: my lord, and my God. Then Thomas answered, and said unto him, Thou art my Lord, and my God. And Thomas answered, and said unto him, My Lord, and my God.
20:29 Jesus saith to him, Thomas, for thou hast seen me, thou believedst; blessed be they, that saw not, and have believed. Jesus said unto him: Thomas because thou hast seen me, therefore hast thou believed: Happy are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. Jesus said unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou believest: blessed are they that have not seen, and have believed. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
20:30 Forsooth and many other signs Jesus did in the sight of his disciples, the which be not written in this book. And many other signs did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book. And many other signs also did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book. And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
20:31 But these be written, that ye believe, that Jesus is Christ, the Son of God, and that ye believing have life in his name. These are written that ye might believe that Jesus is Christ the son of God. and that ye in believing might have life through his name. But these things are written, that ye might believe, that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God, and that in believing ye might have life through his Name. But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God, and that believing ye might have life through his Name.
